In Friday's non-league outing, the Cross County Thunderbirds (Cherry Valley, AR) basketball squad beat the host Palestine-Wheatley Patriots (Palestine, AR), by a count of 58-38.
The Thunderbirds (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Crowley's Ridge Academy (Paragould, AR). The Falcons go into the non-league outing with a 3-2 record. In their last outing, Crowley's Ridge Academy defeated KIPP Blytheville (Blytheville, AR), 60-34, in a league outing.
