The McNeil Mavericks basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Killeen Kangaroos to 58 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Friday.
The Mavericks now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crockett for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 14. McNeil will battle a Cougars team coming off a 43-34 non-league loss to Burleson (Burleson, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 0-1.
The Kangaroos (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Manor (Manor, TX). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Manor ran past Cedar Creek (Cedar Creek, TX), 62-43, in a non-league contest.
