Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Andrews Mustangs (Andrews, TX), 42-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Midland upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Tascosa (Amarillo, TX) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 14. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 1-2. Tascosa lost 72-65 in their recent non-league bout against Monterey (Lubbock, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Shallowater Mustangs (Shallowater, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 14. Andrews will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 49-39 non-league loss to Levelland (Levelland, TX).
