Thales Academy Apex Titans (Apex, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes (Wilmington, NC), 42-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Thales Academy Apex upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Wake Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 14. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Wake Christian Academy won 58-53 in their recent non-league bout against Cape Fear Christian Academy (Erwin, NC)

Next up, the Hurricanes play the Epiphany Falcons (New Bern, NC) in a NCISAA Coastal Plain bout, on Tuesday, November 14. Cape Fear Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 32-23 non-league win over Pamlico Christian Academy (Grantsboro, NC).
