The Midway Panthers (Waco, TX) basketball edged the visiting Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX), 46-39 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Judson for a non-league test on Thursday, November 13. Midway will encounter a Rockets squad coming off a 51-41 non-league win over United South (Laredo, TX). The Rockets record now stands at 2-0.
The Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Kingwood (Kingwood, TX). The Mustangs enter the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Kingwood edged Clear Springs (League City, TX), 44-35, in a non-league challenge.
