The Port Arthur Memorial Titans basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Hardin-Jefferson Hawks to 51 in the Titans non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Titans now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Brook for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 14. Port Arthur Memorial will battle a Bruins team coming off a 76-64 non-league win over Wagner (San Antonio, TX). The Bruins record now stands at 1-0.
The Hawks (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Kelly Catholic (Beaumont, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Kelly Catholic was nudged by Vidor (Vidor, TX), 51-32, in a non-league contest.
