The Granger Lions basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Axtell Longhorns to 22 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chilton for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 14. Granger will battle a Pirates team coming off a 65-23 non-league loss to Marlin (Marlin, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 0-1.

The Longhorns (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX). The Goats enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Groesbeck was routed by Crockett (Crockett, TX), 66-18, in a non-league contest.
