The crowd at Saturday's non-league contest between the Sharpsville Blue Devils (Sharpsville, PA) and the visiting Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA), observed Sharpsville's football squad edge Mercyhurst Prep by a count of 21-14.

The Blue Devils now own a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Farrell for a District 10 Region 3 contest on Saturday, November 19. Sharpsville will encounter a Steelers squad coming off a 48-6 non-league win over Seneca (Erie, PA). The Steelers record now stands at 9-1.
