The Holmes County Central Jaguars basketball team (Lexington, MS), was overwhelmed 59-18 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Starkville Yellowjackets (Starkville, MS)
The Yellowjackets now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tupelo for a 6A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, January 3.
The Jaguars (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Yazoo City (Yazoo City, MS). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Yazoo City was overwhelmed by Canton (Canton, MS), 46-36, in a non-league game.
