The Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners football squad scored 19 points and limited the host Waltham Hawks to 14 in the Tanners non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Tanners now hold a 1-9 record. They play next when they host Saugus for a non-league challenge on Thursday, November 27. Peabody Veterans Memorial will face a Sachems team coming off a 34-0 non-league win over East Boston (East Boston, MA). The Sachems record now stands at 2-8.
The Hawks (2-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Arlington (Arlington, MA). The Spy Ponders go into the non-league challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Arlington was nipped by Methuen (Methuen, MA), 36-13, in a non-league test.
