Konawaena Wildcats (Kealakekua, HI) backers went home thrilled Thursday as they saw their basketball team tip the visiting Maryknoll Spartans (Honolulu, HI), 52-45 in a non-league contest.

The Wildcats (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Kamehameha Kapalama (Honolulu, HI). The Warriors go into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Spartans confront the Campbell Sabers (Ewa Beach, HI) in a non-league contest, on Friday, November 14. Maryknoll will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
