The Lawrence County Cougars nipped the host Mendenhall Tigers basketball squad by a final score of 44-39 in Thursday's non-league outing.

Next, the Cougars clash with the Richland Rangers (Richland, MS) in a non-league game, on Friday, November 14. Lawrence County will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Rangers go into the game with a 2-1 record after their 37-34 non-league loss to Pelahatchie (Pelahatchie, MS).

With the loss, Mendenhall falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host St. Andrew's Episcopal (Ridgeland, MS) to confront the Saints in a non-league game on Tuesday, November 18. The Saints go into the game with a record of 2-1. St. Andrew's Episcopal lost 41-23 in their recent non-league outing against Richton (Richton, MS)
