Carmel Christian Cougars (Matthews, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their basketball team thwart the visiting Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC), 60-51 in a non-league contest.
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Concord Academy (Concord, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Concord Academy topped Cannon (Concord, NC), 74-47, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Stallions confront the Phoenix Montessori Academy Firebirds (Huntersville, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, November 17. Queen's Grant will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record.
