Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Midland Rebels (Midland, LA), 66-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Barbe upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Buccaneers host South Beauregard (Longville, LA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 17. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 2-0. South Beauregard won 70-23 in their recent non-league bout against Grace Christian (Alexandria, LA)

Next up, the Rebels play the Singer Hornets (Singer, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 17. Midland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 66-52 non-league win over Bell City (Bell City, LA).
