The Manvel Mavericks basketball team scored 36 points and held the visiting George Ranch Longhorns to 31 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Monday.

The Mavericks now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fort Bend Hightower for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 17. Manvel will battle a Hurricanes team coming off a 68-55 non-league loss to Fort Bend Marshall (Missouri City, TX). The Hurricanes record now stands at 0-1.

The Longhorns (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Clear Brook (Friendswood, TX). The Wolverines enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Clear Brook was nudged by Cypress Falls (Houston, TX), 72-44, in a non-league contest.
