Rector Cougars (Rector, AR) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Hoxie Mustangs (Hoxie, AR), 48-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rector upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Paragould (Paragould, AR) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 15. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Paragould won 66-18 in their recent non-league bout against Lake Hamilton (Pearcy, AR)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Pocahontas Redskins (Pocahontas, AR) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 15. Hoxie will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
