Lake Belton Broncos (Temple, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bastrop Bears (Bastrop, TX), 59-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lake Belton upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Broncos host China Spring (China Spring, TX) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 18. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 1-1. China Spring won 54-27 in their recent non-league bout against Stephenville (Stephenville, TX)

Next up, the Bears play the Lockhart Lions (Lockhart, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 18. Bastrop will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 63-53 non-league win over Travis (Austin, TX).
