Canyon Lake (Fischer, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hondo Owls (Hondo, TX), 87-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Canyon Lake upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The travel to McNeil (Austin, TX) to play the Mavericks in a non-league bout on Friday, November 17. The Mavericks come into the bout with a record of 2-0. McNeil won 86-52 in their recent non-league bout against Crockett (Austin, TX)

Next up, the Owls play the Pearsall Mavericks (Pearsall, TX) in a non-league bout, on Monday, November 20. Hondo will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
