Florence Eagles (Florence, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS), 74-70 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Florence upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Eagles host Hillcrest Christian (Jackson, MS) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 16. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Hillcrest Christian won 35-34 in their recent non-league bout against Woodlawn Prep (Columbia, MS)

Next up, the Rockets play the Choctaw Central Warriors (Philadelphia, MS) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 16. Neshoba Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 54-48 non-league win over Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS).
