The West Greene Buffaloes basketball team scored 28 points and held the visiting University Buccaneers to 24 in the Buffaloes league triumph on Tuesday.

The Buffaloes now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Claiborne for a non-league game on Friday, November 17. West Greene will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 75-59 non-league loss to Cosby (Cosby, TN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, University moves to 0-1 on the year. The Buccaneers travel to Washburn (Washburn, TN) to face the Pirates in a non-league game on Thursday, November 16. The Pirates enter the game with a record of 1-0. Washburn won 57-9 in their recent non-league game against Clinch (Eidson, TN)
