Escondido Cougars (Escondido, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Southwest EC Eagles (El Centro, CA), 51-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Escondido upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cougars host O'Farrell Charter (San Diego, CA) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 16. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Eagles play the Vincent Memorial Scots (Calexico, CA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 4. Southwest EC will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
