In Friday's league outing, the Plainfield Panthers (Central Village, CT) football squad bounced the visiting Amistad Wolves (New Haven, CT), by a tally of 45-8.
The Panthers (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Griswold/Wheeler (Griswold, CT). The Wolverines enter the Eastern Connecticut III contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Griswold/Wheeler was trounced by East Lyme (East Lyme, CT), 42-7, in a non-league bout.
The Wolves now own a 0-8 record. They play next when they travel to Nonnewaug/Lakeview/Shepaug Valley for a non-league bout on Thursday, November 20. Amistad will encounter a Chiefs team coming off a 41-0 non-league win over Bacon Academy/Lyman Memorial (Colchester, CT). The Chiefs record now stands at 8-0.
