In Friday's non-league game, the Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) football squad knocked off the visiting New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC), by a margin of 29-0.

The Comets now sport a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to D.H. Conley for a non-league outing on Friday, November 21. Clayton will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 44-32 non-league win over Southern School of Energy and Sustainability (Durham, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 8-3.
