The Canyon Cougars basketball team scored 53 points and limited the host Ellison Eagles to 33 in the Cougars non-league win on Friday.

Next, the Cougars clash with the Austin Royals HomeSchool Royals (Austin, TX) in a non-league test, on Saturday, November 15. Canyon will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Royals come into the test with a 6-0 record after their 54-30 non-league win over East View (Georgetown, TX).

The Eagles (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Weiss (Pflugerville, TX). The Wolves come into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Weiss went down by Rockwall (Rockwall, TX), 39-34, in a non-league test.
