Texas High School Basketball - Hermleigh can't hold off Stanton

The Stanton Buffaloes basketball team scored 33 points and held the visiting Hermleigh Cardinals to 28 in the Buffaloes non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Buffaloes now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to All Saints Episcopal School for a non-league contest on Friday, November 18. Stanton will battle a Patriots team coming off a 78-34 non-league win over Southland (Southland, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 4-0.

The Cardinals (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Spur (Spur, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Spur nudged Highland (Roscoe, TX), 40-38, in a non-league contest.
