In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Morris Jeff Community Pelicans (New Orleans, LA) basketball squad edged the visiting Cox Cougars (Harvey, LA), by a margin of 22-18.
The Pelicans (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Ursuline Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Lions go into the 3A District 9 outing with a 2-2 record.
The Cougars now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy for a non-league outing on Thursday, November 17.
