The Haughton Buccaneers basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Homer Pelicans to 29 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Buccaneers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Minden for a non-league contest on Monday, November 21. Haughton will meet a Crimson Tide team coming off a 50-7 non-league win over North Webster (Springhill, LA). The Crimson Tide record now stands at 1-1.
With the defeat, Homer moves to 0-1 on the year. The Pelicans travel to Minden (Minden, LA) to face the Crimson Tide in a non-league game on Thursday, December 1. The Crimson Tide enter the game with a record of 1-1.
