Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Kaneland Knights (Maple Park, IL), 50-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Moline upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to St. Charles North (St. Charles, IL) to play the North Stars in a non-league bout on Friday, November 17. The North Stars come into the bout with a record of 2-0. St. Charles North won 55-15 in their recent non-league bout against DeKalb (DeKalb, IL)

Next up, the Knights play the Prairie Ridge Wolves (Crystal Lake, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 17. Kaneland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 52-51 non-league win over Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL).
