The Apex Cougars (Apex, NC) basketball edged the visiting Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC), 39-32 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Athens Drive for a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 19. Apex will play a Jaguars team coming off a 67-1 non-league win over Green Hope (Cary, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Pinecrest falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Patriots host Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, November 22. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
