The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Darrow Ducks (New Lebanon, NY) and the host Cushing Academy Penguins (Ashburnham, MA), observed Darrow's basketball team edge Cushing Academy by a score of 73-68.

The Ducks (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Newman (Boston, MA). The enter the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Newman tipped Brimmer & May (Chestnut Hill, MA), 85-62, in a league battle.

The Penguins now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Hampton School for a non-league battle on Sunday, November 16. Cushing Academy will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 92-80 non-league loss to Putnam Science Academy (Putnam, CT). The Huskies record now stands at 0-1.
