In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Vandegrift Vipers basketball team scored a good 53-45 triumph over the Mansfield Tigers.
The Vipers (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Round Rock Westwood (Austin, TX). The Warriors go into the 6A Region IV District 25 contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Round Rock Westwood was topped by United South (Laredo, TX), 38-29, in a non-league match.
The Tigers now own a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Midlothian for a non-league match on Tuesday, November 18. Mansfield will face a Panthers squad coming off a 63-45 non-league win over Plano West (Plano, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 1-4.
