Madera Coyotes (Madera, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host McLane Highlanders (Fresno, CA), 56-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Madera upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Kerman (Kerman, CA) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 17. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Kerman lost 94-59 in their recent non-league bout against Clovis East (Clovis, CA)

Next up, the Highlanders play the Paso Robles Bearcats (Paso Robles, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 22. McLane will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Bearcats come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 55-37 non-league loss to Monache (Porterville, CA).
