Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Warren Central Vikings (Vicksburg, MS), 54-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Port Gibson upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Blue Waves travel to Murrah (Jackson, MS) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 19. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Murrah lost 64-48 in their recent non-league bout against Yazoo City (Yazoo City, MS)

Next up, the Vikings play the Raymond Rangers (Raymond, MS) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 17. Warren Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 61-57 non-league loss to Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS).
