Alabama High School Basketball - Oxford nips Plainview

November 16, 2023: Oxford, AL 36203

Oxford Yellow Jackets (Oxford, AL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Plainview Bears (Rainsville, AL), 58-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Oxford upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets travel to Paul W. Bryant (Cottondale, AL) to play the Stampede in a non-league bout on Monday, November 20. The Stampede come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Paul W. Bryant won 65-7 in their recent non-league bout against Greensboro (Greensboro, AL)

Next up, the Bears play the Gadsden City Titans (Gadsden, AL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 18. Plainview will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Titans come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 51-43 non-league win over Briarwood Christian (Birmingham, AL).
