North Hopkins Panthers (Sulphur Springs, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Avery Bulldogs (Avery, TX), 33-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Hopkins upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to Prairiland (Pattonville, TX) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 16. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Prairiland lost 62-40 in their recent non-league bout against Hooks (Hooks, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Detroit Eagles (Detroit, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 16. Avery will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 49-29 non-league loss to Sam Rayburn (Ivanhoe, TX).
