Calvary Baptist Cougars (La Verne, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Calvary Christian Eagles (Banning, CA), 2-0 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Calvary Baptist upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cougars host St. Lucy's (Glendora, CA) to play the Regents in a non-league bout on Monday, November 27. The Regents go into the bout with a record of 2-1. St. Lucy's won 33-31 in their recent non-league bout against Montebello (Montebello, CA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Loma Linda Academy Roadrunners (Loma Linda, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 7. Calvary Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
