Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Walnut Grove Wildcats (Prosper, TX) and the visiting Denton Broncos (Denton, TX), saw Walnut Grove's basketball squad hold off Denton by a tally of 26-22.
With the victory, Walnut Grove improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Emerson (McKinney, TX) to confront the Mavericks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, November 18. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Emerson lost 44-19 in their recent non-league challenge against Flower Mound (Flower Mound, TX)
Next up, the Broncos confront the Keller Indians (Keller, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, November 16. Denton will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 40-30 non-league loss to Midlothian Heritage (Midlothian, TX).
