The Hoover Buccaneers basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Huffman Vikings to 42 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bartlett for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 21.

The Vikings (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, AL). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, Hewitt-Trussville ran past Douglas (Douglas, AL), 74-16, in a non-league contest.
