Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) and the host Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX), saw Vela's basketball squad overcome Seguin by a tally of 52-36.

With the victory, Vela improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Sabercats travel to Somerset (Somerset, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, November 17. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 1-8. Somerset lost 63-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Taft (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Matadors confront the Highlands Owls (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, November 17. Seguin will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Owls come into the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 59-37 non-league loss to Taft (San Antonio, TX).
