Buckeye Panthers (Buckeye, LA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Monterey Wolves (Monterey, LA), 55-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Buckeye upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Panthers host Tioga (Tioga, LA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, November 18. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Tioga won 66-63 in their recent non-league bout against Atlanta (Atlanta, LA)

Next up, the Wolves play the Central Panthers (Jonesville, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 1. Monterey will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
