The Nixon Mustangs routed the visiting John Paul II Guardians basketball team by a final score of 67-43 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Shoemaker Wolves (Killeen, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, November 18. Nixon will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Wolves enter the game with a 1-3 record after their 67-65 non-league loss to Johnson (Buda, TX).
