DeQuincy Tigers (DeQuincy, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Basile Bearcats (Basile, LA), 31-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, DeQuincy upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Tigers travel to Reeves (Reeves, LA) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 29. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Reeves won 68-51 in their recent league bout against St. Joseph's - Plaucheville (Plaucheville, LA)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Port Barre Red Devils (Port Barre, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Basile will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
