Canutillo Eagles (Canutillo, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Eastlake Falcons (El Paso, TX), 49-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Canutillo upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Austin (El Paso, TX) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, November 18. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Austin lost 60-19 in their recent non-league bout against Mountain View (El Paso, TX)

Next up, the Falcons play the Coronado Thunderbirds (El Paso, TX) in a 6A Region I District 1 bout, on Tuesday, November 22. Eastlake will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Thunderbirds go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 41-19 non-league loss to El Dorado (El Paso, TX).
