Hawkins Hawks (Hawkins, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Jefferson Bulldogs (Jefferson, TX), 62-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hawkins upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Hawks host Brownsboro (Brownsboro, TX) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Monday, November 21. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Brownsboro lost 38-34 in their recent non-league bout against Bullard (Bullard, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Grace Community Cougars (Tyler, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 18. Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 67-31 non-league win over Kemp (Kemp, TX).
