The Nazareth Swifts tipped the visiting Sands Mustangs basketball team by a tally of 24-22 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Swifts now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Deal for a non-league battle on Friday, November 18. Nazareth will confront a Lions team coming off a 46-32 non-league win over Forsan (Forsan, TX). The Lions record now stands at 4-1.
The Mustangs (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Sundown (Sundown, TX). The Roughnecks come into the non-league battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Sundown edged Denver City (Denver City, TX), 46-35, in a non-league battle.
