Texas High School Basketball - Valley knocked off by Anson

November 17, 2023: Anson, TX 79501

The Anson Tigers basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Valley Patriots to 47 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Winters for a non-league contest on Monday, November 20. Anson will meet a Blizzards team coming off a 45-42 non-league win over Junction (Junction, TX). The Blizzards record now stands at 1-1.

The Patriots (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Gruver (Gruver, TX). The Greyhounds enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Gruver was defeated by Wildorado (Wildorado, TX), 57-31, in a non-league contest.
