The Morton Ranch Mavericks basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Canyon Cougars to 50 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mavericks now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin for a non-league contest on Friday, November 17. Morton Ranch will battle a Cougars team coming off a 71-57 non-league loss to John Paul II (Plano, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 1-2.

The Cougars (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, A&M Consolidated was defeated by Nixon (Laredo, TX), 72-62, in a non-league contest.
