California High School Basketball - University City nips Mt. Carmel

November 17, 2023: San Diego, CA 92129

University City Centurions (San Diego, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Mt. Carmel Sundevils (San Diego, CA), 76-70 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, University City upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Centurions travel to El Camino (Oceanside, CA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 21. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 0-1. El Camino lost 81-48 in their recent non-league bout against Montgomery (San Diego, CA)

Next up, the Sundevils play the Los Alamitos Griffins (Los Alamitos, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 21. Mt. Carmel will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Griffins come into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 68-56 non-league win over Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach, CA).
