The Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS) basketball nipped the visiting Murrah Mustangs (Jackson, MS), 68-67 in Friday's non-league test.
The Blue Waves (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Newton (Newton, MS). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Newton was tipped by Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS), 61-58, in a non-league test.
The Mustangs now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Ridgeland for a non-league test on Tuesday, November 21. Murrah will encounter a Titans squad coming off a 77-63 non-league win over Provine (Jackson, MS). The Titans record now stands at 5-2.
