Texas High School Basketball - Weslaco East knocked off by Stratford

The Stratford Spartans basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Weslaco East Wildcats to 43 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clear Lake for a non-league contest on Friday, November 17. Stratford will battle a Falcons team coming off a 72-56 non-league win over Vela (Edinburg, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 4-0.
The Wildcats (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Katy (Katy, TX). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Katy ran past Vela (Edinburg, TX), 70-65, in a non-league contest.
